KEY ISSUES
Education
I support a strong education system and parental rights. Through transparency and accountability I will work with the elected school board and via the budget process to ensure the best education possible for our children.
Taxes
Increased taxes put a burden on EVERY resident in the county. We need to be better stewards of existing revenue and ensure OUR money is being spent wisely. I will look at ways to lower taxes and make commonsense budget cuts to jumpstart our economy.
Public Safety
Our police, fire, and EMT personnel risk their lives every day for our community. I firmly support these providers and will ensure they have the resources and tools they need to keep us all healthy and safe.
Economy
I have spent the past two years fighting for employers to stay open and getting people back to work. I am proud to have led Governor Hogan’s Retail Reopening Advisory Group. Employers still have a long way to go to recover from COVID. They are digging out from months with little revenue and bills that piled up, just like residents. Government can best help the ecoomy and businesses by minimizing regulations and mandates.
Development
Living in District 7 means ever-increasing traffic problems. I will fight against overdevelopment for our entire district which threatens our peaceful communities with poorly planned sprawl.
